I've been avoiding this video because TA:K was the first game I ever played online, and the first and only game I ever bought because the box art looked cool. I ended up playing it for 3-4 years almost exclusively. By the time I got it, I guess around 2000/2001, the in-game multiplayer functionality had already ceased so we had to play on iirc Mplayer.com, I have a distinct memory of 12 year old me getting home from school and browsing Napster while waiting for a game to open up. Those were the days. There was a pretty strong modding community back then, multiplayer was mostly played on custom maps and there were fairly regular balance patches, although I seem to remember by the time I stopped playing it had become a bit bloated with custom units. Also we had to use Gamespy which was a godawful program, and venturing out of specific game lobbies was like travelling through the wild west, except instead of bandits and Indians there were child predators. Anyway, feels kinda weird that if Sseth played back then we probably know each other, the online community was only ~300 people.

I don't understand why Kirenna's attack is being poo pooed, it actually was the strongest basic attack of the monarchs with good splash damage. Sometimes too strong causing friendly fire. Epson's attacks were only OK, and hid real strength was that he could raise dead, and even capture enemy builders by raising them. The meteor wasn't a particularly strong attack.

Quite the amazing setup you have there! I actually use a audio jack cable for shorting my power contacts.
